「2025兵庫ノアチャレンジャー大会」の開催を心よりお祝い申し上げます。国内外から実力ある選手たちが兵庫県三木市に集い、熱戦を繰り広げる本大会は、テニスファンのみならず、多くの皆様にテニスの魅力を身近に感じていただける貴重な機会となっています。

本大会は、2015年の初開催以来、ATPチャレンジャーツアーの一環として、世界を目指す若手選手たちにとって重要な登竜門となってきました。会場となるブルボンビーンズドームは、国内有数の屋内ハードコート施設であり、これまでにも数々の名勝負が繰り広げられています。

今年１月から２月にかけて、本会場で開催されたデビスカップ・ファイナル予選では、日本代表がイギリスを相手に歴史的な勝利を収めたことも記憶に新しいところです。その試合で日本代表として活躍した西岡良仁選手は、2018年に本大会に出場されており、本大会が世界への扉を開く舞台であることを改めて印象づけました。

また本大会は、これまで、スポーツ振興のみならず、地元のボランティアの皆様のご協力やピックルボール体験といった観戦者との交流の場を設け、地域の活性化にも大きく貢献してきました。2025年大会においても、多彩な企画が予定されており、誰もが楽しめる大会となることが期待されます。

スポーツには、競技に取り組む楽しさや成長する喜び、健康増進や地域の活性化など多面的な効果があります。兵庫県では、こうしたスポーツのもつ力に着目し、スポーツを通じた地域づくりや人材育成に力を入れているところです。

本大会のような国際的なイベントが、若者たちにとって夢への一歩となり、未来のトッププレーヤーを志す原動力となることを願っています。

最後になりますが、大会運営に尽力された関係の皆様に敬意を表しますとともに、大会のご成功と選手の皆さんのご健闘を心からお祈り申し上げます。

I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations on the opening of the 2025 Hyogo NOAH Challenger tennis tournament. Skilled players from both inside and outside the country travel to Miki City in Hyogo Prefecture to participate in this tournament, where every match is a fierce battle that captivates spectators, offering a precious opportunity not just for fans but for everyone to experience the thrill of tennis.

Since it was first held in 2015 as part of the ATP Challenger Tour, this tournament has provided access to an all-important gateway to success for young athletes aiming to compete internationally. Many enthralling matches have taken place at the Bourbon Beans Dome, the host venue for this tournament and one of the most prominent hardcourt facilities in Japan.

I still vividly recall Japan’s historic victory against Great Britain in the Davis Cup Final Qualifiers held at this very facility in January and February this year. Nishioka Yoshihito was a member of our national team, which once again impressed upon me how his participation in the 2018 NOAH Challenger tournament opened the door for him to participate as a tennis player on the world stage.

This tournament has not only promoted sports but also played a vital role in revitalizing the region by offering engaging spectator experiences, such as pickleball, and fostering collaboration with local volunteers. As the 2025 tournament has many exciting events planned, I have no doubt that it will also be an experience that everyone can enjoy.

Sports have numerous beneficial outcomes, from the fun of competing and the joy of growth, to the promotion of good health and regional revitalization. Hyogo Prefecture is focusing its attention on the power of sports and we are committed to community development and human resource cultivation through sports.

It is my sincere hope that international competitions like this tournament will serve as a stepping-stone toward dreams for young athletes and become a driving force for those aspiring to become future top players.

In closing, I would like to express my sincere respect to everyone who worked so hard to make this event possible as well as my best wishes for the success of all players.
