新型コロナウイルスによる世界的なパンデミックにより、２年連続で中止となった今大会ですが、第１回大会より特別協賛を賜っておりますノアインドアステージ株式会社様の多大なご支援をいただき、兵庫県のテニスのメッカ、ブルボンビーンズドームにて３年振りとなる第8回大会を開催することが出来ますことを心より感謝申し上げます。

2019年大会では全国から多くの一般テニスファンの皆さまやジュニア、キッズのテニスファンの皆さまを含め約１４，０００人を超えるテニスファンの皆さまにご来場をいただきまして誠に有難うございました。

ATPチャレンジャーツアーは、現在、国内で慶應チャレンジャーと四日市チャレンジャー、今年第１回を迎える松山チャレンジャー、そして兵庫ノアチャレンジャーの４大会が連続して開催されます。世界を転戦しグランドスラム大会本戦への出場権を得るため、多くの日本人選手や海外からの選手がエントリーしていただいており、熱い戦いが繰り広げられることと存じます

2022年の日本人選手の活躍は、柴原瑛菜、ウェスリー・クールホフ（オランダ）組が全仏オープン混合ダブルス優勝という快挙を成し遂げました。全仏での日本勢優勝は1997年大会でマヘシュ・ブパシ（インド）と組んで頂点に立った平木理化選手以来です。また、ジュニアでは、最もグレードの高い「GA」の「大阪市長杯2022世界スーパージュニアテニス選手権大会」で16歳の齋藤咲良選手が単複２冠という輝かしい優勝を飾りました。

大会期間中にはご来場の一般テニスファンの皆さま、ジュニアの皆さんに、無料のテニスクリニックやプロ選手とのチャレンジマッチなど多くのイベントを企画しております。
最後になりましたが、ご後援をいただきました兵庫県、兵庫県教育委員会、（公財）兵庫県スポーツ協会、（公財）兵庫県園芸・公園協会、三木市、三木市教育委員会、特別協賛を賜りましたノアインドアステージ株式会社、広告協賛を賜りました各企業様をはじめ、本大会開催にあたりご尽力を賜りました関係者の皆さまに厚く御礼申し上げます。

This year, the 8th NOAH Challenger tournament will be held at the Bourbon Beans Dome, the Mecca of tennis in Hyogo Prefecture, for the first time in three years after it has been canceled due to the pandemic two years in a row. Thanks to the generous support of NOAH Indoor Stage Corporation, a special sponsor since the first tournament.

In 2019, more than 14,000 tennis fans, including junior and kids tennis fans from all over Japan, came to the tournament.

The ATP Challenger Tour currently consists of four consecutive tournaments in Japan: the Keio Challenger, the Yokkaichi Challenger, the Matsuyama Challenger, which will be held for the first time this year, and the Hyogo NOAH Challenger. Many Japanese and foreign players who play around the world have entered the tour to earn the right to participate in the Grand Slam tournaments so it is expected to be an exciting and heated battle!

In 2022, Japanese players Ena Shibahara and Wesley Koolhof (Netherlands) won the mixed doubles championship at the French Open tennis tournament. This is the first time a Japanese player has won in the category at the Paris tournament since Rika Hiraki, who reached the pinnacle of the tournament in 1997 with Mahesh Bhupathi (India). In the junior tournament, 16-year-old Sara Saito won the highest grade “GA” tournament, the Osaka Mayor’s Cup 2022 World Super Junior Tennis Championships, winning both the single and doubles titles.

During this year’s NOAH Challenger, we are planning many events for all tennis fans, including juniors, such as free tennis clinics and challenge matches with professional players.
